Soap opera addicts rejoice! Stars of your favorite daytime soaps are coming to a city near you.
Soap Opera Mania, a highly interactive weekend fan event, is coming to 39 North American cities from February 7 through December 6, culminating with Soap Cruise: The Third Voyage in January 2010. Tickets are $100 in advance; $125 at the door.
Presented by Celebrity Events Group, Soap Opera Digest and Soap Opera Weekly, fans will spend five hours with eight to 12 of daytime’s most popular actors in each city who will mix and mingle, answer questions, sign autographs, pose for pictures and act out scenes with audience members. There will also be workshops with soap directors, behind-the-scenes secrets, and complimentary programs with signed photos of each actor for all guests. The first 300 fans to register in each city will get personalized, autographed head shots of each actor appearing live.
Tour headliners include Cameron Mathison (“All My Children” and “Dancing with the Stars”), Christian LeBlanc (“The Young and the Restless”) and James Scott (“Days of our Lives”).
They will be joined by “All My Children’s” Alicia Minshew, Jacob Young, Ricky Paull Goldin, Darnell Williams and Vincent Irizarry; “One Live to Live’s” John-Paul Lavoisier and John Brotherton; “General Hospital’s” Natalia Livingston, Greg Vaughan, Bradford Anderson and Laura Wright; “The Young and the Restless'” Don Diamont, Daniel Goddard and Michelle Stafford; “The Bold and the Beautiful’s” Brandon Beemer, Winsor Harmon, Ronn Moss and Lesli Kay; “Guiding Light’s” Murray Bartlett and Kim Zimmer; “As the World Turns'” Austin Peck, Julie Pinson and Michael Park; and from “Days of Our Lives,”Jay Johnson and Nadia Bjorlin.
Attendees can also register to win television studio tours and one of 20 trips for two on Soap Cruise: The Third Voyage, where soap fans interact with more than 16 soap superstars.
