Four of the top women tennis players will takes center court at Madison Square Garden in New York City on March 2 for the BNP Paribas Showdown for the Billie Jean King Cup. Tickets are priced at $325, $175, $125, $75 and $50 and are currently on sale.
Participants are World No. 1 Serena Williams, who just won the 2009 Australian Open and has won 10 grand slam singles titles; World No. 3 Jelena Jankovic, who just lost the top ranking to Williams and who has never won a grand slam; World No. 6 grand slam winner Venus Williams; and World No. 8 grand slam winner Ana Ivanovic.
The $1.2 million BNP Paribas Showdown for the Billie Jean King Cup is produced by StarGames in association with Madison Square Garden and will be broadcast live on HBO on March 2 beginning at 7:30 p.m. E.T. Each participant will compete in a one-set, no-ad scoring semi-final with the winners advancing to a best of three set final (regular scoring) for the Billie Jean King Cup.
