WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. and SAN JOSE, Calif. (Wall Street Journal and GLOBE NEWSWIRE) May 18, 2009 — Ticketmaster, a Ticketmaster Entertainment, Inc., (Nasdaq:TKTM) operating business, and HP Pavilion Management today announced a multi-year extension of their decade-long ticketing partnership. The agreement extends Ticketmaster’s exclusive ticketing for all HP Pavilion events including the National Hockey League’s San Jose Sharks, and the National Lacrosse League’s San Jose Stealth; along with the SAP Open, the annual men’s tennis tournament; Strikeforce, world-class mixed martial arts and American Metal & Iron Fight Night at the Tank, live boxing events.
Ticketmaster will continue to provide the latest ticketing technology and build upon its seamlessly integrated event ticketing distribution solutions, including: on-site scanning technology to validate barcoded event tickets; online and offline event marketing and communication tools; and a multitude of new services to help drive ticket sales and enhance the overall entertainment experience for fans.
