British singer Robbie Williams, formerly of the band Take That, may take over some of the dates at the O2 Arena that were cancelled after Michael Jackson’s death, according to the Daily Mail. Though some of his work was positively received by critics, Williams only achieved sporadic stardom in Europe as a solo act after leaving Take That, and he never achieved the U.S. fame he craved. He is reportedly looking to make a comeback after a few years out of the pop music spotlight, and hopes several shows at London’s O2 next year will put him back on the map.
