The latest edition of TicketNews TV looks at the lengths some NFL teams are going to in an effort to attract and retain ticket buyers, in addition to a report on the paperless ticketing initiative implemented for the recently launched Miley Cyrus tour. (See the video below)

Among the perks teams are implementing to attract fans include car washes, free rides on public transportation and all-you-can-eat stadium sections. Like other industries, the NFL is not immune to the ravages of the current recession, as some teams face multiple television blackouts due to slow ticket sales.

“NFL teams are going to great lengths to capture every dollar from loyal football fans,” said TicketNews TV correspondent Kim Crandall.

As for the Miley Cyrus tour, the decision to go paperless appears to have had a potentially negative effect on some ticket sales with several dates not selling out, as opposed to the singer’s wildly popular tour two years ago.
