Reports: Steven Tyler has quit Aerosmith

Rock singer Steven Tyler, coming off a tumultuous year, has quit the band Aerosmith, according to numerous published accounts. The Los Angeles Times, quoting a story from the Las Vegas Sun, reports that guitarist Joe Perry is under the impression that the occasionally troubled singer has left the band, following recent concerts in Hawaii and Abu Dhabi. The band had planned to tour late this year, but scrapped it after Tyler was injured in a fall during a show in Sturgis, SD.
