At a recent team Q&A event, new Chicago Cubs Chairman and owner Tom Ricketts told fans that some ticket prices would increase in 2010, the team’s first year under the new ownership. According to ESPN, prices for about half of the seats at Wrigley Field will remain “essentially unchanged” from 2009, but overall average ticket prices are up about 10 percent. Based on the network’s calculations, this is at least the third straight year the team has raised its average ticket prices by double digits.
