Officials from college football’s Southeastern Conference (SEC) are on the look out for counterfeit tickets to Saturday’s championship game between Florida and Alabama. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the SEC will set up a special window at the Georgia Dome, where the game will be played, where they will verify whether certain tickets are fakes. In recent years, scammers have been perfecting how to make counterfeit tickets and have reportedly even copied some of the holograms used for security purposes. The window will open at 10am, and kick off is at 4pm. Officials said people can go to the window with a reseller, verify the ticket’s legitimacy and then walk back outside the no-scalping buffer zone of 2,700 feet around the stadium to complete the transaction.
