One of the most respected partnerships in singer-songwriter history has rolled out more dates for a spring tour of North America. Simon and Garfunkel previously confirmed more than a dozen concerts for the outing, but recently expanded those plans with an additional four concerts.

New performances on the calendar are for May 17-18 at the Metro Centre in Halifax, NS; May 20 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT; and May 21 at Etess Arena in Atlantic City, NJ.

Onsales for the Uncasville show began Sunday, April 5, with tickets priced at $130 and $180. Public ticket sales start April 8 for both Halifax engagements, priced at $99.50 and $149.50. The final onsale is April 10 for the Atlantic City market, where prices will range from $175 to $325.

As originally planned, the spring 2010 tour will open with Simon and Garfunkel’s first-ever performance at the Jazz and Heritage Festival in New Orleans, LA. The pair’s headlining set is scheduled for the event’s first weekend on Saturday, April 24.

When the musical duo first announced plans to tour together, their routing focused primarily on the Canadian provinces with only a few forays south of the border. As it stands now, the calendar has more of an event split, with seven stateside shows and 10 Canadian gigs.

The upcoming outing will be the first for Simon and Garfunkel since the sell-out success of their 2003-2004 Old Friends Tour. The two collaborators reunited briefly at the start of 2009 when Paul Simon opened the renovated Beacon Theatre in New York, NY. That one-off performance was followed soon after by the announcement of a summer 2009 Australian tour, but no word about other concert plans.
