Houston, TX-based ticket brokerage The Ticket Experience, LLC has been named one the nation’s fastest-growing companies by Inc. magazine.

From 2007 through 2010, the company, formerly known as SecureSeats.com, has experienced explosive revenue growth of 1,029 percent, going from $294,988 in sales in 2007 to $3.3 million for 2010.

The company ranked 321st out of 5,000 overall, according to Inc., and it was the ninth fastest-growing among retailers. During the surveyed period, The Ticket Experience grew from three employees to five.

The six-year-old company was founded in 2005, and it specializes in reselling sports and concert tickets, particularly for teams and events in the Houston area.

“We have looked at the economic downturn and the shrinking margins in our industry not as obstacles to our growth but rather motivators to force us to turn those issues into opportunities,” Nick Cubero, co-owner of The Ticket Experience, said in a statement.

The Ticket Experience is not the first secondary ticket reseller to be named to the Inc. magazine list. Fellow Texas-based company TicketCity has been named to the list in the past, in addition to TicketNetwork.

To celebrate its designation on the list, The Ticket Experience is donating hundreds of tickets from local sports teams to Houston-area charities, including the Texas Children’s Hospital and the Houston chapter of the Boys and Girls Club.

“It goes without saying that giving back to the community is of the utmost importance and we are very fortunate to be able to tie our philanthropic efforts directly to our industry,” Patrick Ryan, co-owner of The Ticket Experience, said in a statement.

For the 2011 Inc. 5000, the magazine ranked companies based on percentage revenue growth from March 31, 2007 to December 31, 2010. To qualify for the list according to Inc., companies “had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent – not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies.”

TicketNetwork is the parent company of TicketNews.
