PRESS RELEASE: “VENDINI DEBUTS ENHANCED MOBILE TICKETING APP WITH SCANNING FOR IPHONES”
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (Vendini) October 26, 2011 — With the release of Vendini Mobile for the iPhone, currently available for download free at the Apple App Store, Vendini now offers venues a multitude of options for ticket scanning including the ability to scan with the camera on an iPhone in addition to an iPod Touch.
Using an iPhone camera frees patrons from having to print their ticket and bring it with them and enables concert locations, sporting events, performing arts and other entertainment venues to get people through the door quickly. The new app also offers improved battery life, which means more ticket scans. It also helps staff search faster for patrons without tickets and view their orders, and manually check guests in and out. Based on customer feedback, Vendini’s new iPhone app also provides better control over sound and vibration settings, offers more details displayed when tickets are scanned, and features an enhanced user interface.
“Vendini mobile makes e-tickets so much more than just a way for patrons to buy and print tickets online,” explains Mark Tacchi, Vendini CEO and Founder. “Mobile ticketing gives venues more options and more revenue. It’s definitely the future of the ticketing industry, and we plan on continuing to develop mobile ticketing to its fullest potential.”
Vendini Mobile also features:
-Manual check in, so if a patron forgets their ticket, an online search can find their ticket, show their order and check them in.
-Check-in/Check-out to let patrons leave the venue and then come back in.
-VIP notification to provide special instructions for patron treatment or requests.
