TicketNetwork®, the leading online exchange for event tickets and innovative technology solutions provider, has announced that it will be hosting a career fair at its South Windsor, CT headquarters on March 20.

With over 7.5 million tickets listed on its exchange every day, TicketNetwork.com is one of the premier secondary ticketing marketplaces online. Since its founding in 2002, TicketNetwork has become one of the fastest growing companies in the United States, as ranked by Inc. Magazine and global firm Deloitte.

Despite its rapid growth, TicketNetwork prides itself in maintaining “a small company feel, with plenty of opportunities to interact with co-workers away from the desk, including sports teams, clubs, classes, company trips, and other extracurricular activities,” according to their website.

Recently, TicketNetwork relocated to a much larger 194,000-square-foot office complex in South Windsor, CT. The company hopes to use the extra space to rapidly expand its current 400+ employee workforce.

The upcoming career fair is being held following the success of the company’s first career fair in August 2011, an event that resulted in a large expansion of employees. “Last year we had a large turnout at the career fair and are anticipating an even larger turnout at this year’s career fair,” Shefali Mamak, Recruiting Manager at TicketNetwork told TicketNews.

According to Mamak, one of the most beneficial attributes of TicketNetwork’s career fair is that job seekers have the opportunity to directly interact with hiring managers in an on-site setting..

TicketNews recently spoke with Ashley Halpin and James Kimble who are current TicketNetwork employees who were hired at the company’s last career fair. “I had a great experience at the career fair, and had the opportunity to meet with several different departments that I was interested in. In addition, I was able to have an on-site interview with the department I ended up in, which better prepared me for a follow-up interview later on,” Ashley Halpin commented.

“I enjoy my job here at TicketNetwork, I have a career here that I love; the people here are easy to get along with. It’s a very motivating place to work, be a part of, and to help contribute to the growth of the company,” James Kimble told TicketNews.

TicketNetwork’s rapid expansion is due in part to the company’s innovative hiring strategy, which involves recognizing those with key skills that would benefit the company and developing new positions that incorporate their skill set. Also part of their hiring strategy is constantly looking for talented individuals to join the company’s team. “If we find good candidates, we like to give them the opportunity to utilize their skills by providing customized on-the-job training,” Mamak told TicketNews.

Positions being offered at the upcoming career fair are listed on TicketNetwork’s Careers website and include Administrative Assistants, Human resources Recruiters, Sales Representatives, Project Managers, Software Engineers, Database Developers, and Web Developers. The career fair will take place from 10am through 2pm on March 20, and pre-registration is currently available online.
