Mérez, was honored by two national industry magazines. She was named one of Collaborate Magazine’s “40 Under 40”, and among EXPO Magazine’s Elite for 2013.
Collaborate’s “40 Under 40” honors industry leaders who are “making their marks early in their careers,” according to the magazine. The annual list recognizes leaders who hold a wide variety of roles within the meetings planning industry, including representatives of event management firms, tourism associations, magazines, and more.
The third annual Elite list, compiled by EXPO Magazine, “honors the best of the best in the tradeshow industry,” according to the magazine’s staff. Other 2013 honorees include representatives of Advanstar, the Consumer Electronics Association, Exponation, Nielsen Expositions, and more. Mérez was previously recognized as one of the EXPO Elite in 2012.
