The Oklahoma Twister Relief Concert at the University of Oklahoma’s Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium will be taking place this Saturday, and there will be no shortage of great performers. Toby Keith, Garth Brooks, Willie Nelson, Sammy Hagar, and Carrie Underwood are some of the artists that will be performing for the charitable event, but even with such a star studded line-up, ticket scalpers and the secondary ticket market are not getting in on the action. Due to the charitable nature of this concert, many members of the secondary ticket market are treating this event as off limits and taking the high road by not trying to profit off the misfortune of others. Major ticket brokers like StubHub have even declined to allow any listings for the event to appear on their site and have instead provided a link to the relief fund for customers. While not all ticket scalpers and ticket brokers are avoiding reselling tickets, it is certainly refreshing to see that many understand the importance of this concert and do not feel the need to try and treat this as business as usual. All money raised from ticket sales will go to the United Way of Central Oklahoma which will aid victims of the tornadoes that hit Oklahoma in May.
