StubHub is in the market for a new top executive, as Scott Cutler has been promoted to a position at parent company eBay (NASDAQ: EBAY), announced on Monday morning.

Cutler will continue to lead StubHub while the company searches for a new leader. His new position, Senior Vice President for Americas, is within eBay’s Marketplace segment. He was one of three appointments announced by eBay on Monday. Jay Lee has been named a Senior Vice President, EMEA, while Jooman Park has been made Senior Vice President, APAC, all for eBay’s Marketplace.

“Scott, Jay and Jooman are seasoned leaders with great track records. They will continue to focus on accelerating our core business and driving eBay’s competitive advantages as a global commerce leader,” said Devin Wenig, President and CEO of eBay Inc. “We thank Hal for his contributions and wish him success going forward.”

The moves were triggered by the departure of Hal Lawton, who left eBay for a senior leadership role with another company.

Cutler had been head of StubHub since 2015, and previous worked for nine years as an executive vice president of the New York Stock Exchange.

He departs as the company faces challengers new and old in the secondary ticketing marketplace, with companies such as TicketNetwork reporting improving sales numbers and primary giant Ticketmaster gaining traction in the secondary market, often at the expense of StubHub’s bottom line.
