Halsey, 23 year-old New Jersey native known best for songs like “Bad At Love” and The Chainsmokers collab “Closer”, cancelled a concert in Alberta, Canada mid-set on Tuesday night due to a personal emergency. Live Nation reported soon-after that the following night’s show at Roger’s Place in nearby Edmonton would be cancelled, as well.

Fans of the singer were quick to probe about what had caused the sudden cancellations, but neither Halsey nor Live Nation gave any additional details.

Halsey then took to Instagram to apologize, but asked her fans to “please respect the privacy of [herself] and those close to [her]” during this time. She thanked them for their understanding, and noted that “there are very few things in this world that could make me stop a show, and my fans know that”. Her complete, heartfelt message is below:

Halsey’s Hopeless Fountain Kingdom Tour will resume tomorrow night, Nov. 18 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and is scheduled to continue as planned.
