Metallica concertgoers, hold on to your tickets after the gig – the metal group is offering a free MP3 download of a show on their “WorldWired” tour to ticketholders.
“As we like to do, all shows will be recorded and available in a variety of downloadable formats, as well as on CD, within a few days of us walking off the stage,” the band said in a statement. “Each show is mixed and mastered by the team behind Hardwired…To Self-Destruct to bring you the best possible audio quality.”
If fans hold onto their ticket stub after the show, they can go to LiveMetallica.com/scan to scan or enter the barcode from their ticket to download the MP3. This perk is just one among the many amenities offered by Metallica on their current tour; the group has offered a “Wherever I May Roam Black Ticket,” allowing fans floor tickets to multiple shows, along with multiple VIP experiences.
The 34-date WorldWired tour just kicked-off in Madison, Wisconsin this past Sunday, and their next gig is in Lincoln, Nebraska tomorrow. Throughout their trek, the band will visit cities like Pittsburgh, Charlotte, Salt Lake City, Sacramento, Cincinnati, and Indianapolis before wrapping-up in Grand Rapids, Michigan in March 2019.
According to Consequence of Sound, fans can expect to hear a decent amount of songs on their setlist from their most recent record, 2016’s Hardwired…To Self-Destruct, along with some classic hits like “Seek & Destroy,” “Master of Puppets,” and “Enter Sandman.”
