Guns N’ Roses Play Brief Show Due To Axl Rose’s Illness
Guns N’ Roses had to cut their set short in the United Arab Emirates over the weekend since vocalist Axl Rose was “severely ill” preceding the show.
Rose told the audience during the concert that his current medical condition was not up to par.
“They’ve got me on IVs and a bunch of injections, ’cause I got sick today, I’ve been throwing up for about the last five hours,” he said. “So, instead of canceling, I’m gonna do the best show we can for you.”
Thank you Abu Dhabi! @axlrose pulled a damn miracle…the man was beyond ill, and pulled off something I’ve never seen in my 40 yrs of playing. You all pulled him thru. Til next time!

Abu Dhabi, you guys were fucking great tonight! Axl was severely ill. But you all were hugely supportive. Thanks for that. We’ll see again next time! Cheers! iiii]; ) ‘

The group played almost 20 songs, Blabbermouth reports, before ending the show. While some concertgoers were unhappy with the short set, others noted that the band played more songs than a normal band would if they weren’t sick. Fans wished him well and thanked the band for still performing.
He sounded good from the songs I heard on the streams. The show was about as long as the show most bands do when they aren’t sick. For the people who are complaining, they should fuck off. Most bands would have cancelled the show.
