Theatergoers: it’s your last chance to see a handful of shows this month before they close their curtains for good.

Following the Tony Awards earlier this year, multiple Broadway shows announced that they will close before the year ends. This month alone, six shows are closing. The Prom, which had an eight year-long run on Broadway and was named Broadway.com‘s number one show of 2018, will close at the Longacre Theatre on August 11 before heading out on a national tour. On the same day, Be More Chill will come to an end; the high school-based sci-fi musical only made its way to Broadway this past February but did not sell as well as critics would have hoped.

Pretty Woman, the musical based-off the iconic film, will close on August 18 after a short run at the Nederlander Theatre this year, as well as The Cher Show, the show based on the pop and film star that hit the Neil Simon Theatre. Both shows will head out on national tours in 2020. Additionally, August 18 is a farewell for King Kong, the Broadway Theatre’s extravagant play that included a 20-foot-tall, 2,000 pound ape.

Hedi Schreck’s Tony-nominated What The Constitution Means To Me is also coming to an end later this month on August 24. It has played at the Hayes Theatre since March, delving into the United States Constitution and opening a debate over whether or not the document can help evoke change in society. Next year, the show will head out on a tour and there is potential for a film in the future.

Later this year, Waitress will close this year after 33 previews and 1,544 regular performances since its debut in 2016, and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical is set to close after six years, 2,418 performances, and 60 previews. While these shows are bowing their heads for the final time in New York City this year, many more shows are gearing up to hit the stage. Alanis Morrisette’s Jagged Little Pill will open this November, followed by Darren Brown: Secret and Girl From The North Country.
