The Cincinnati Reds and Live Nation are reportedly joining forces for a huge announcement next week.

While there is no confirmed word about the concert at this time, a press release notes that on Wednesday, November 6, there will be a “major concert announcement” at the Great American Ball Park. There will be special guests in attendance including Cincinnati Reds’ President and Chief Operating Officer Phil Castellini, the former Reds catcher and National Baseball Hall of Fame member Johnny Bench, the Hamilton County Commisioner Denise Driehaus, and Live Nation’s Senior Vice President of Booking Michael Belkin.

Artists have played at the venue before; Paul McCartney took the stage in 2011, followed by Beyonce and Jay-Z in 2014 and Luke Bryan in 2018. Rumors are flying as music fans suggest A-list artists like U2, The Rolling Stones, Billy Joel, Pearl Jam, The Eagles, or Jimmy Buffett.

TFL and ATBS for ticketing professionals

It’s also possible that the guest list implies a different kind of concert, like a festival-style show. Taylor Swift just revealed festival shows at Foxborough’s Gillette Stadium and Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, while Garth Brooks has been playing stadiums throughout the year like Pittsburgh’s Heinz Field, Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Indiana, and Tennessee’s Neyland Stadium.

Stay tuned for an official announcement next week.
