The Cleveland Indians have introduced a special opportunity to allow more fans access to Opening Day tickets.

The team will utilize a registration system dubbed the 2020 Opening Day Ticket Purchase Opportunity. Fans can submit a free, online registration form until February 18 to be considered. If selected, registered fans will be notified via email before February 21 with an exclusive opportunity to get Indians Opening Day tickets before single-game tickets go on sale February 24.

Their in-state rival Cincinnati Reds rolled out a similar offer last month which allowed fans to register for the chance to snag Opening Day tickets with no fuss. In addition, selected fans could also purchase an equal number of tickets to a regular season home game of their choice.

The Indians organization also took the time to point out benefits for its season ticket holders ahead of Opening Day. Perks include access to exclusive merchandise and experiences through Tribe Rewards, postseason priority, and access to special events. Additionally, the team’s Tribe Six Pack deal returns this year. Fans can customize their pack schedule to include a group of any six Friday, Saturday or day games. Themed options feature six Friday Fireworks games, six Saturday games with promotional items, or six weekday day games.

The Indians’ season opener is slated for March 26 in Cleveland against the Detroit Tigers. This upcoming season marks the first time Progressive Field will be exclusively mobile entry in its bleacher, district tickets and standing room only sections.
