With socially distant seating and safety protocols expected to be in high demand as events come back online, Tickets.com announced it would be teaming up with technology provider Boundary Devices to enable contactless entry for its clients. The system will consist of kiosks and suite door devices that allow for self-service operation at entry points for consumers – allowing for safe distance between patrons and venue staff at ingress points.

Integrating with Alfred, Tickets.com’s access control and ticket validation solution, the kiosks and suite readers use near field communications (NFC) technology to provide a contactless entry point. It is able to use existing traditional barcodes, or other methods depending on the needs of the client. It also supports more complex entry needs, including timed admissions, exit scanning, and controlled access levels to suite or club areas beyond seating specifics.
