SeatGeek will be the primary ticketing agency for the Houston Dynamo FC, Houston Dash, and BBCA Stadium, beginning with the 2021 season. The announcement was published on Thursday, the second announcement of a high profile primary ticketing deal for SeatGeek in as many weeks, coming on the heels of the company signing up the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers and their home arena of Rocket Mortgage Field House.

The Dynamo and Dash join SeatGeek’s already robust lineup of soccer franchises, which includes the Portland Timbers, Portland Thorns, Sporting Kansas City, Austin FC, and Major League Soccer as a whole. Oveseas, SeatGeek is also the majority ticketer for the English Premier League, including iconic franchises Liverpool F.C. and Manchester City F.C. The Dynamo and Dash play in the MLS and National Women’s Soccer League, respectively.

SeatGeek’s “progressive, innovative approach” to digital ticketing won it Houston’s business, according to the announcement. SeatGeek will allow Houston fans and BBVA patrons to access an enhanced and seamless digital ticketing interface that will allow for touchless entry to the stadium. It will include the implementation of SeatGeek Adapt, which is designed to allow for COVID-safe policies like touchless entry and staggered entry times before games or other events.

SeatGeek has made substantial inroads in the primary ticketing market in recent years, mostly springboarding from its start with MLS franchises. The marketplace also holds primary ticketing contracts with the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans as well as the Dallas Cowboys.
