SeatGeek has been named the official ticket exchange of the Philadelphia Flyers and Wells Fargo Arena, expanding the ticketing company into NHL partnerships for the first time. The deal will span multiple years, making SeatGeek a “Kestone Partner” of the team and venue.

“Whether you’re cheering on the Flyers or singing along with your favorite band at Wells Fargo Center, our goal is to make every single part of the fan experience top-of-the-line. We understand that our fans want choices, and oftentimes, tickets on our primary ticketing channel sell out. SeatGeek’s cutting edge platform makes it easier than ever for fans to buy and sell tickets on the resale market, especially on mobile devices, so we’re confident that our fans will love this new partnership,” said Mike Shane, Chief Business Officer for the Philadelphia Flyers and Wells Fargo Center.

The partnership does not change the primary ticketing for the team or venue, but SeatGeek will serve as official resale marketplace, including access to barcodes for events. SeatGeek has expanded significantly into professional sports in recent years, serving as ticketing partners with the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints, Arizona Cardinals and the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets, Cleveland Cavaliers and New Orleans Pelicans. SeatGeek is also the official ticketing partner of Major League Soccer and is the majority ticket provider across the English Premier League with partners like Liverpool F.C. and Manchester City F.C.

“With their investment and dedication to a great fan experience, the Flyers and Wells Fargo Center are the perfect partners to kick off our first ever NHL deal,” said Sarah Kettler, Senior Director of Brand and Customer Marketing at SeatGeek. “We couldn’t be more excited to reach a new audience, and build SeatGeek’s brand together.”

The agreement between the Flyers, Wells Fargo Center, and SeatGeek is a major component of the organization’s renewed focus on the fan experience. In just the past few years, the Flyers and Wells Fargo Center have kicked off a $300 million transformation of Wells Fargo Center that has positioned the arena as a world class venue for decades to come. The Flyers and Wells Fargo Center are also investing heavily in new technology to make fans’ experience as easy and enjoyable as possible, from the installation of the world’s largest indoor kinetic scoreboard to an additional 10,000 square feet of state-of-the-art LED systems throughout the arena. Wells Fargo Center also now provides contactless and cashless options for ticket scanning, food and beverage orders, parking, and more. The arena also recently completed an $11 million replacement of its HVAC systems, installing a new, state-of-the-art air filtration system that replaces all the air in the arena’s seating bowl every 30 minutes.
