Taylor Swift recently donated $250,000 to Operation Breakthrough, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children living in poverty in Kansas City.

Operation Breakthrough, whose mission is to provide a safe, loving, and educational environment for children while empowering their families through advocacy and education, shared the news on December 21.

The organization expressed its gratitude in a social media post, featuring a video of children thanking the pop star. The non-profit captioned the video, “Thank you, @taylorswift, for making our holiday season shine even brighter! Your kindness and thoughtful 250K donation means the world to our children and families.”

Additionally, throughout her record-breaking Eras Tour, Swift frequently made contributions to food banks in the cities she visited. In March 2023, she quietly donated to food banks in Glendale, Arizona, and Las Vegas.

Her philanthropic endeavors extended beyond tour stops, such as the $100,000 donation to the family of a Kansas City Chiefs parade shooting victim in February 2024 and a $5 million donation to hurricane relief efforts in October of the same year.

Notably, earlier in December, Swift made a surprise visit to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, where she spent time with young patients battling cancer and blood disorders.

The donation to Operation Breakthrough coincided with Swift attending a Kansas City Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium. This marked Swift’s first public appearance at a Chiefs game since concluding her historic Eras Tour on December 8.

The Eras Tour went on to become the highest-grossing tour in history, amassing $2,077,618,725 across 149 shows in nearly two years.
