Taylor Swift has cemented her legacy as one of the most successful entertainers of all time with her groundbreaking Eras Tour, which concluded on December 8 at Vancouver’s BC Place.
The numbers are in, and they’re staggering: across 149 shows spanning nearly two years, the tour grossed $2,077,618,725 in ticket sales, setting a new standard for live music. This achievement, reported by The New York Times and confirmed by Swift’s production company, Taylor Swift Touring, makes the Eras Tour the highest-grossing tour in history by a wide margin.
The Eras Tour kicked off in March 2023 in Glendale, Arizona, and quickly became a cultural phenomenon, with over 10 million fans attending the shows. The tour’s popularity reached such heights that Swifties, who couldn’t secure tickets in the U.S., traveled to Europe to experience the three-hour performance live.

One of the most notable moments came during Swift’s performance in Melbourne, Australia, where a record-breaking 96,006 fans attended a single show on February 16. In London, her performances at Wembley Stadium drew 753,112 attendees, setting the record of becoming the first solo artist to headline eight concerts at the venue. The “All Too Well” singer also broke the record for Scotland’s biggest-selling stadium show at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield.
Additionally, in October, she became the world’s richest female musician, a title supported by Forbes’ valuation of her net worth at $1.6 billion. The tour’s first leg alone reportedly earned her $190 million after taxes, while her concert film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, brought in an additional $35 million in its initial weeks of release.

The Eras Tour was also an economic phenomenon with local economies benefiting from the influx of fans attending concerts. In London, it was estimated that her tour brought in an influx of £300m (€355m/$380m) for the city’s economy.
In the United States, Swifties contributed an estimated $5 billion in direct spending, according to survey company Question Pro. However, the U.S. Travel Association suggests that this figure could surpass $10 billion when factoring in indirect spending and purchases made by non-ticket holders near the venues.
In addition to filling stadiums, Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music all revealed that Swift was the most-streamed artist of 2024, with her 11th album, The Tortured Poets Department, earning the title of the year’s top-streamed album. The album earned her six Grammy Award nominations in 2025, including Album of the Year, making her the first female to receive seven nominations in the category.
