Taylor Swift continues to make music history, earning the title of the top touring artist of 2024 in the United Kingdom.
In the UK, Swift’s influence was particularly noteworthy according to Viagogo. London topped the list of cities with the “most devoted Swifties,” leading ticket sales, followed by Manchester, Nottingham, Glasgow, and Edinburgh. Her shows generated 196% more ticket demand than Liam Gallagher, who ranked second, placing her far ahead of other artists.

Other artists in Viagogo’s top five included Bruce Springsteen, Foo Fighters, and P!NK, with Coldplay, AC/DC, Take That, Olivia Rodrigo and Diljit Dosanjh completing the list. Notably, Coldplay’s fans traveled 18.8 million miles globally to attend their concerts.

Matt Drew, Business Development Lead at Viagogo, highlighted the broader economic implications of 2024’s live music success.
“Music fans are increasingly investing in travel, accommodation, and retail,” Drew explained, emphasizing that the vibrancy of venues relies on safe, regulated marketplaces.
These events, he noted, contribute £733 million to local economies and sustain nearly 8,000 jobs in the hospitality and retail sectors.
Notably, the Eras Tour, which spanned nearly two years and saw 149 shows, grossed $2,077,618,725 in total – securing its spot as the highest-grossing tour of all time. Additionally, the tour shattered attendance records at Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium, Scotland’s Murrayfield Stadium, Friends Arena in Stockholm, and London’s Wembley Stadium.
