Ticketing marketplace AXS has officially launched a biometric authentication for its mobile app, meaning users will have the ability to access their tickets with facial recognition or via their unique fingerprint.

AXS said that the feature will eliminate the need to remember passwords or access tickets on their phone while entering an event. Additionally, the authentication offers benefits like the ability for users to be able to easily recover their account if they forget their password. It also gives fans a piece of mind, knowing their account is protected by the latest security technology.

Justin Burleigh, Chief Product Officer at AXS, noted in a statement that the company is “thrilled to introduce biometric authentication to our mobile app.”

“This feature not only enhances security for our users but also streamlines the ticketing process, allowing fans to focus on enjoying their live event journey,” Burleigh said.

The new feature is currently available to all AXS users on the latest version of the AXS mobile app.

This is the latest news for AXS; last year, the ticketer revealed it had inked a partnership with Lyft to create seamless transportation to eventgoers with event-specific notifications from the rideshare company. AXS also recently launched a new ticket experience for fans in the Apple Wallet, allowing ticketholders to access information and manage their tickets in one place.
