The latest headline tour for Carrie Underwood begins in little under a month, and the country songbird now has a freshly extended itinerary that will keep her on the road through the spring.
Originally scheduled from mid-March through the end of May, Underwood’s outing will now continue for at least one more month. The Play On Tour launches March 11 at Sovereign Center in Reading, PA, and concludes June 20 at Credit Union Center in Saskatoon, SK.
A total of nine dates were added to the trek, including performances on June 12 at BJCC Arena in Birmingham, AL; June 15 at JQH Arena in Springfield, MO; and June 18 at MTS Centre in Winnipeg, MB.
Underwood’s original Play On Tour itinerary includes stops on March 19 at Boardwalk hall in Atlantic City, NJ; March 31 at BlueCross Arena in Rochester, NY; April 9 at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, IN; and April 25 at U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, OH.
Tickets are already available for the country singer’s previously announced dates. New onsales will start up on February 12 and 13 for some of the latest concert additions. Craig Morgan and special opening band Sons of Sylvia will also continue their supporting duties through the new June dates.
Underwood’s previous headlining experience was the 2008 Carnival Ride Tour. According to a statement on her official Web site, that lengthy venture included 137 performances with a total audience turnout of 1.2 million. So far, her 2010 calendar features just 54 concerts.
