Since the October release of “Mylo Xyloto,” pop-rock powerhouse Coldplay has toured Europe on the album’s promotional tour.

All speculation of when the Mylo Xyloto Tour might come stateside was put to rest this week with the revelation of an initial 20-date itinerary. The routing is split into separate spring and summer runs, with the earlier and briefer of the two largely focusing on Pacific Northwest markets.

The seven-date spring jaunt starts April 17 at Rexall Place in Edmonton, AB, and concludes with a May 1-2 run at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA. The longer 13-date summer run is booked June 22 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX, through August 11 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, MN.

Most onsales for the two tour legs fall on December 17, with the exception of a January 9 onsale for both Hollywood Bowl shows and a December 19 onsale in Chicago. North American ticket prices largely fall within the $45 to $110 range, according to present Ticketmaster.com listings.

Spring and summer calendar highlights also include performances on April 25 at Key Arena in Seattle, WA, and August 7 at United Center in Chicago, IL. But with gaps in the present calendar, expect more concert announcements to come on Coldplay’s official Web site.

A scheduling gap that can’t be filled, however, is the one between Coldplay’s spring and summer ventures in the states. Seven UK stadium dates have already claimed the early June portion of Coldplay’s calendar, to complement the group’s current European tour dates.

Coldplay performs today, December 9, at the O2 in London, England. Additional shows in Europe are booked through December 21 at O2 World in Berlin, Germany.

Fronted by Chris Martin, Coldplay last performed in the United States as a headliner at Lollapalooza 2011. Before that, the group toured the states through 2009 in support of the award-winning “Viva La Vida.”
