With the big milestone fast approaching, Bonnaroo organizers are pulling out all the stops to make the 10th year an eclectic and star-studded event. The 2011 lineup, announced February 15, runs the gamut from blazing hot up-and-comers to time-tested music veterans.
Headline spots for Bonnaroo 2011 go to Eminem, Arcade Fire, Widespread Panic and The Black Keys. Also receiving top billing are veteran folk band Buffalo Springfield, rock group My Morning Jacket, and hip-hop heavyweight Lil Wayne, among others.
Bonnaroo 2011 ticket presales started in November, with the limited allotment selling out within hours. The next price level for four-day passes — $224.50, plus fees — becomes available this Saturday, February 19, at 12 p.m. (EST). Once the Level 2 ticket allotment is sold, the price will increase to $234.50, and then on to a fourth and final price level of $249.50.

The electic musical gathering’s 10th anniversary goes down June 9-12 at the 650-acre Great Stage Park in Manchester, TN. In all, 90 musical acts have been announced so far, with more yet to come. Bonnaroo typically fills its 13 stages with a lineup of more than 120 bands and musicians, along with about two dozen comedy acts.
Launched in 2002, Bonnaroo draws an estimated 70,000 to 80,000 attendees each year, according to published estimates. During its earlier years, the festival reportedly drew more than 90,000 individuals to its Manchester base, though organizers have capped capacity around 80,000 in more recent years.
