Teen sensation Jonas Brothers will be burning up the summer concert circuit again this year. The Jonas Brothers World Tour 2009 begins June 20 at the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, TX, and ends August 31 at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa, ON.

The family friendly pop act will hit more than 40 cities across the U.S. and Canada during the trek, which also features concerts in select South American and European cities. Highlights for the tour include a June 27 concert at Rose Garden Arena in Portland, OR, a July 17 performance at TD Banknorth Garden in Boston, MA, and an August 14 show at Toyota Center in Houston, TX.

The tour will head north of the border for a total of six shows, including a June 30 event at General Motors Place in Vancouver, BC, and an August 29 stand at Bell Centre in Montreal, QC. American Idol winner Jordin Sparks and special guest Honor Society will provide support throughout the tour.

“This tour is going to be about really connecting with our fans,” said Joe Jonas in a statement. “We’ve got new music that’s taking us in new directions plus a mind-blowing production that’s going to surprise everyone. We want to give the audience the summer concert they’re not going to ever forget.”

The outing is being produced by Live Nation, which has a long-term, multimillion dollar touring deal with Jonas Brothers. The agreement allows the trio to perform more than 140 worldwide concerts and began at the start of the trio’s 2008 touring season.

“The Jonas Brothers are a worldwide phenomenon,” noted Jason Garner, CEO of Global Music at Live Nation, in a statement. “In 2008 their global tour included 113 concerts and drew nearly 1.2 million fans. The band is now more popular than ever — with a new movie, album, TV show and book — and we are optimistic that this summer’s tour attendance will reflect that popularity.”

The trio will continue their partnership with Burger King Corp. for the upcoming tour. The fast food restaurant chain first sponsored Jonas Brothers for their summer 2008 concerts.

Jonas Brothers will tour behind the June 15 worldwide release of their latest album, which is currently untitled. The sibling trio’s Platinum-certified 2008 release “A Little Bit Longer” topped the Billboard 200 for two weeks.
