Lady Gaga‘s 2010 Monster Ball Tour already is one of the summer’s hottest tickets and sold-out in many North American markets. Now the music industry’s new reigning queen is setting her sights on 2011.

While the full extent of her 2011 tour plans is still spotty, next year’s North American venture will launch February 19 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ. Ten concerts have been confirmed through an April 18 performance at the Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, GA.

The initial itinerary also includes planned performances on March 3 at Air Canada Center in Toronto, ON; Marc h 25 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV; and April 13 at American Airlines Arena in Miami, FL. Additional concert dates will be announced for the 2011 tour.

Public ticket sales for the extended Monster Ball Tour begin May 14. Pricing will vary from city to city, but most face values start around the $50 mark and run up to about $190, according to Ticketmaster.com.

Many markets featured on the performer’s 2011 calendar are also hosting multiple-night engagements during her upcoming 43-date arena tour of North America. A majority of Lady Gaga’s summer 2010 concerts are either completely sold-out or have only single tickets remaining, based on Ticketmaster’s current listings. Demand for tickets is expected to stay high for next year’s performances, as well.

“In just two years Lady Gaga has become an international superstar, selling out everywhere in the world,” said Arthur Fogel, Live Nation’s CEO of Global Touring and chairman of Global Music, in a press statement.

Lady Gaga’s meteoric rise to fame began with her 2008 debut album “The Fame” and first headlining tour in spring 2009. She shrewdly marketed and quickly established herself as the complete showbiz package: chart-topping recording artist, eccentric theatrical performer, and fashion-forward designer.

As her popularity increased, so did her influence on the concert market. After a planned tour with Kanye West imploded before onsales even started, Gaga announced plans for a solo tour and immediately followed with a slate of confirmed concert dates for the 2009-2010 Monster Ball Tour.

A strong critical reception for Lady Gaga’s UK tour, and high demand for tickets on both sides of the Atlantic, prompted the performer to expand her theatrical vision. Previously booked into small arenas and large theaters, Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball Tour is now a full-sized arena production.
