Vendini, the leading cloud-based ticketing platform in the country, has developed a free mobile application that takes the hassle out of not just the ticket buying process, but the headache that comes along with purchasing tickets to live events for friends.

A survey conducted by lab42 in June showed that more than half of the 1000 people who participated said that they would buy more tickets if a mobile app existed that would remove the hassles of buying tickets for friends. Based on the growing demand in the friend-to-friend (F2F) ticketing market, Vendini developed Walletini, a mobile app that cuts back on the time spent coordinating ticket buying.

Walletini allows users to find which events friends are attending, buy tickets for groups, transfer tickets to friends from all major outlets, and easily request and receive money from friends. The app also eliminates the need to keep track of tickets, because users can easily organize and store their purchases and tickets can be scanned on site directly from the mobile device.

According to a press release from Vendini, the mobile app is the first in the industry to address the growing F2F market and the first of its kind to allow fans to manage tickets to concerts, sporting events, performing arts, and other live entertainment events.

Walletini is not only useful for ticket buyers, but venues can also benefit from the one-of-a-kind mobile app that takes away the hassle from the consumer, ensuring that more tickets will be sold. The electronic tickets also make it easy for venues to keep track of patrons and send them updates on future events.

“What these guys did was genius,” said Reuben Buck, operator of The Parlor Collection in Bellevue, Washington in a recent press release. “Our patrons want to focus on the event, not the hassle with ticket buying. Walletini has taken the stress out of ticket buying and the complete distribution of the tickets, which makes our job so much easier.”

The lab42 survey reported that when it comes to electronic ticketing, 93 percent of those surveyed said they would buy event tickets using a mobile app and 88 percent reported that they would distribute tickets to friends.

In February TicketNews spoke with Vendini founder Mark Tacchi who said the new mobile app would be an “industry game changer.” Tacchi recently told TicketNews via email that no other apps allow for the combination of buying, storage, transfer and access control that Walletini has.

Headquartered in San Francisco, CA, Vendini takes care of event promotion, ticket sales, and logistics management for thousands of clients and venues of all sizes. The cloud-based platform also offers a fully integrated marketing system that allows event organizers to promote events via email and social networks. The company is also known for their Customer Care Program that ensures that day-to-day operations run smoothly with the help of their own dedicated account manager.

Vendini has also been busy expanding their services to new markets. The company recently announced that they have received approval from the Nevada Gaming Commission that allows Nevada gaming establishment with entertainment venues to use Vendini’s cloud-based software, helping the casinos manage the entire ticketing process.

“Vendini’s philosophy has always been to make technologically advanced, easy-to-use software for the entertainment industry,” said Tacchi to TicketNews via email. “Walletini is the next step of that with the confluence of social and mobile technologies.”
