They say when the stock market is down, that’s the best time to buy. The same could be said of the New York Knicks, a team with a struggling record but high hopes on the secondary ticket market.
The Knicks, which haven’t won an NBA championship since 1973, and won’t win one this season, remain a hot ticket despite a losing record of 13-28, as of today, Jan. 23. A search by TicketNews for tickets today found an impressive deal on Club Level seats at Madison Square Garden for a Jan. 25 game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Broker website CoastToCoastTickets.com was offering center court Club Level seats for $122 each, not including convenience and shipping fees. The face value for those seats on Ticketmaster.com was twice as high at $244.50 a piece, not including fees.
On the, Knicks’ official resale site, those same tickets were selling for $280.80 each, not including fees.
