Punk-influenced, garage rock Swedish band The Hives are touring North America in support of their fifth studio release, “The Black and White Album,” their follow up to 2004’s “Tyrannosauraus Hives.” The group’s 14-date tour begins Feb. 19 in Los Angeles and wraps March 8 in Washing on, DC, with The Donnas supporting. From there, the quintet heads over to Europe and the UK for 21 shows, March 27-April. 20.

The Hives recently picked up a Grammi, the Swedish equivalent of the Grammys, for “best live act.”

The Hives are: Howlin’ Pelle Almqvist (vocals), Nicholaus Arson (guitar), Vigilante Carlstroem (guitar), Dr. Matt Destruction (bass) and Chris Dangerous (drums).
