Tina Turner is just one of the major acts closing out a North American tour itinerary during the week ending December 15 as compiled by TicketNews.

The Queen of Rock & Roll, who began her 21-city trek across the nation on October 1, has one final performance slated for North America before she breaks for the holidays and rings in the New Year with her international dates. The singer-songwriter’s final gigs will be a two-night stand on December 12 and 13 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, ON.

Trent Reznor’s industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails will also conclude its 2008 North American itinerary on December 13. Not only is this the last chance for fans to see NIN this year, it could also be the last chance to see the band perform in its full glory. According to a recent statement from Reznor, the tour will scale back stage production for all 2009 dates, effectively cutting the acclaimed lightshow from the act, and an indefinite touring hiatus will follow.

Over the next few days, several one-off holiday concerts will run their course, including a handful of radio-sponsored Jingle Ball events. Acclaimed recording artist Kanye West, who recently released the album “808s and Heartbreak,” will be the featured performer at two upcoming holiday shows: the Power 106 Holiday Concert on December 9 at Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, CA, and Z100s Jingle Ball on December 12 at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY.

In sporting news, a couple football teams are poised to play their final home games of the regular season over the weekend. Fans of the Miami Dolphins have one last chance to snag tickets to the December 14 game against the San Francisco 49ers at Dolphin Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL. The same day, the Carolina Panthers will host the Denver Broncos for a showdown at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC. But for fans of the Dolphins and the Panthers, there’s still hope that the teams could make it to the AFC and NFC playoffs, respectively. Depending how the final games of the regular season play out, more home game tickets could be available for both teams.

“Last Chance” information is compiled at the beginning of the week, based on touring acts whose current itineraries are closing over the course of that week. The availability of tickets for Last Chance events depends on primary and secondary seller inventory, and may vary as tickets are sold in the days leading up to each event.
