The new film from tween sensations Jonas Brothers, “Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience,” will be released for a one-week engagement in select IMAX 3D theatres, simultaneously with the film’s wide release in 3D on February 27. The film is directed by Bruce Hendricks whose credits also include “Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour.”

Tickets have been a hot commodity on Fandango for the highly anticipated film, which opens in 3D and on IMAX 3D screens at midnight on February 26. As a bonus available to every “Jonas 3D” ticket-buyer, Fandango users will receive a free download of the Jonas Brothers music video “Tonight.”

“Jonas 3D has the potential to be the one of the season’s hottest ticket-sellers,” said Rick Butler, chief operating officer of Fandango, in a statement. “According to a recent Fandango survey, the vast majority of Jonas’ respondents say that the 3D presentation is a very important factor motivating them to buy tickets to the film. It’s clear that passionate Jonas Brothers fans have been looking forward to seeing their favorite band in a way they’ve never been able to see them before.”

Mark Zoradi, president of Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Group, noted, “Disney Digital 3D experience gives moviegoers a whole new appreciation for the music, performances and personalities of the incredibly popular Jonas Brothers. This special limited engagement IMAX 3D presentation combines the company’s world-famous surround sound with impressive imagery to supercharge the concert experience, and take it to a whole new level of entertainment.”

The film blends excerpts from Jonas Brothers’ red-hot “Burning Up” concert tour, including guest performances from Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift, as well as exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, off-the-wall segments, a never-before-heard song (“Love is on its Way”), swarming fans and a lot of JB-style humor, giving fans never-before-seen insights into the lives of Kevin, Joe and Nick.

Upcoming live Jonas Brothers performances include March 8 in Houston, TX at the Livestock Show & Rodeo at Reliant Stadium; March 14, April 18 and May 5 in Nassau at Atlantis Paradise Island Resort; and March 22 in San Juan, PR, at Coliseo de Puerto Rico.
