For the third week running, the New Yankee Stadium beat all rivals in TicketNews’ exclusive venues rankings for the week ending Sunday, July 4.

Ticket sales for its legendary New York Yankees helped the venue to retain its top spot, while leading the team to the top of TicketNews’ Top Sports Events rankings for the third straight week. In music, the stadium will have Jay Z and Eminem for two shows in September. The new Yankee Stadium dominated the venues rankings this week with a 4.75 power score.

Moving up this week to number two and power scoring a respectable 2.97 was Madison Square Garden (MSG) in New York, NY. Tonight begins a three show run by the wildly popular Lady Gaga, who once again took number one in this week’s Top Concerts rankings. Justin Bieber (at number two in Top Concerts) arrives for a date at the end of August, and Roger Waters (at number nine) plays two dates in early October.

TicketNews Exclusive Rankings and Power Scores are based on ticket sales for venues from the TicketNetwork Exchange™, the world’s largest secondary market exchange. A Power Score illustrates a given venue’s category-specific significance. Two factors are used to calculate a power score: total ticket sales for a venue, and total ticket sales within the category. As such, power scores should only be used to compare venues within a particular category.
