eBay (NASDAQ: EBAY) announced the hiring of Sukhinder Singh Cassidy as the new President of StubHub, reporting directly to eBay Inc. CEO Devin Wenig. She replaces Scott Cutler, who departed the ticketing specific marketplace to become SVP at eBay and head of eBay’s Americas business unit.

Singh Cassidy comes to StubHub having previously served in leadership positions at Google, including more than five years as President of the company’s Asia Pacific and Latin America business. She has also spent time at Amazon and Merrill Lynch, in addition to founding and leading several other tech platforms and businesses.

In addition to the new president, StubHub has hired Clay Helm as director of public pelations, according to a roundup on OdwyerPR.com. She comes to the ticketing world from Autodesk, where she had served as pr director as well as chief of staff, brand & communications. “At StubHub, she is responsible for driving public relations strategies and activities that advance the company’s business and reputation, overseeing day-to-day external communications strategy and execution. Helm also leads North America consumer communications, crisis communications, public affairs and corporate social responsibility.”

Sukhinder Singh Cassidy Named StubHub President

Sukhinder Singh Cassidy will become the president of StubHub, a division of eBay Inc., starting May 2. StubHub is the largest ticket marketplace in the world and enables fans to buy and sell tickets to tens of thousands of events, whenever they want. Singh Cassidy brings decades of leadership and technology experience as a founder and CEO spanning ecommerce, digital content and business development. She has a successful track record scaling and growing businesses internationally. She will report to eBay Inc. CEO Devin Wenig and become a member of eBay’s executive leadership team.

She also founded Joyus, the first video commerce marketplace online, was CEO of Polyvore, the leading fashion and lifestyle platform and was previously the Founder & SVP of business development at leading fintech platform Yodlee. Singh Cassidy has also held senior leadership positions at Google, including President of Google’s Asia Pacific and Latin America business for more than five years and started her career at Amazon and Merrill Lynch. She sits on the board of directors of Urban Outfitters and will remain Chairman of theBoardlist. Singh Cassidy will be based in StubHub’s San Francisco headquarters.
