The metal groups Megadeth and Lamb of God are teaming up for a lengthy co-headlining tour across North America this summer and fall.

They’ll kick-off the 55-date outing on June 12 in Bristow, Virginia, followed by shows in Austin, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, and Chicago before wrapping-up the first round of shows in Corcord, California on August 1. The second leg of the trek picks up in West Palm Beach, Florida early October and is set to appear at venues like Kansas City’s Spring Center, the Armory in St. Paul, and Denver’s Pepsi Center before closing at the Reno Events Center in Nevada on November 13. Trivium and In Flames will provide support.

This will be Megadeth’s first North American tour since 2017 and follows Dave Mustaine’s recovery from throat cancer last year. The group hasn’t released music since 2016’s Dystopia and there’s been no word of their 16th album yet, however, Mustaine is set to release a book he co-wrote with Joel Selvin, Building The Perfect Beast, revolving around the band’s 1990 LP Rust In Peace. The band’s fourth studio LP went RIAA Platinum and featured hits “Holy Wars…The Punishment Due” and “Hangar 18.”

Lamb of God, on the other hand, just returned to the music scene after a five-year hiatus. They are gearing up to release a self-titled album, due May 8. The record, which follows VII: Sturm und Drang, will feature their new track “Checkmate.” The group is best-known for their 2009 LP Wrath, which garnered attention for “Contractor” and “Set To Fail,” which helped the album reach the top of the U.S. charts.
