Morgan Wallen Pleads Guilty to Throwing Chair Off Rooftop Bar
Country artist Morgan Wallen has resolved his legal issues stemming from a chair-throwing incident earlier this year.
Wallen appeared in court recently to address the felony charges tied to the April incident at Chief’s, a six-story bar in Nashville owned by fellow country star Eric Church. The case attracted attention after reports emerged that Wallen had thrown a chair from the rooftop of the bar.
Following negotiations, Wallen entered a conditional guilty plea, which reduced the charges from felonies to misdemeanors. As part of his plea agreement, Wallen will be required to complete seven days at a DUI education center and serve two years of supervised probation.

Additionally, Davidson County Judge Cynthia Chappell ordered Wallen to pay a $350 fine along with court costs. Despite these penalties, the agreement ensures that Wallen’s legal record will remain clear, provided he adheres to the terms of his probation.
According to a statement from Wallen’s legal team, the resolution offers an opportunity for the charges to be dismissed and expunged upon successful completion of the probationary period.
“Mr. Wallen has cooperated fully with authorities throughout these last eight months, directly communicating and apologizing to all involved,” the statement read. “He remains committed to making a positive impact through his music and foundation.
Beyond his legal challenges, Wallen is getting ready for his inaugural Sand In My Boots festival, slated to take place May 16 to 18 on the beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama. Notably, the “Last Night” singer took home the Entertainer of the Year award at the Country Music Association Awards in November.
