OVERALL TOP 10 EVENTS

Event This Week Last Week Oscar De La Hoya 1 3 Wicked 2 1 Boston Red Sox 3 2 Kenny Chesney 4 6 Jersey Boys 5 8 New York Yankees 6 4 Chicago Cubs 7 10 Jimmy Buffett 8 n/a The Police 9 7 Tool 10 n/a

Oscar De La Hoya finally battles his way to the top to take the number one spot on the chart this week, but it was Floyd Mayweather Jr. who took the title, winning a twelve round split decision over De La Hoya. The top-selling fight leaves many fans, and ticket sellers most of all, hungry for a rematch.

Jimmy Buffett reclaims a spot in the rankings, appearing at number eight this week.

All movement is not upwards, however. Josh Groban, who came out of nowhere to take the number five position last week, disappears just as quickly, while the New York Yankees slip two positions, a trend that cannot continue if they hope to be able to afford Roger Clemens’s salary.

TOP 10 SPORTS EVENTS

Event This Week Last Week Oscar De La Hoya 1 2 Boston Red Sox 2 1 New York Yankees 3 3 Chicago Cubs 4 4 NBA Playoffs: Golden State Warriors 5 n/a New York Mets 6 10 NHL Playoffs: New York Rangers 7 5 Kentucky Derby 8 9 NBA Playoffs: Phoenix Suns 9 n/a Atlanta Braves 10 n/a

The Warriors prove that they are, in fact, Golden. They defeat the top-seeded Dallas Mavericks 4-2 in their best of seven game series and advance to round two of the playoffs. The upset fuels fervor for the underdogs and puts the Warriors back on the Top Sports chart in the number five position.

The New York Rangers’ drop from number five to number seven is not nearly as disappointing as their game six loss to the Buffalo Sabres, which eliminates them from the next round of the NHL playoffs.

Street Sense may have come from the back of the pack to finish number one, but the Kentucky Derby advances only one position from last week, ultimately winding up at number eight.

It’s Curtains for A Chorus Line. The classic Broadway show is once again bumped from the rankings, and the murder-mystery musical appears to be the culprit. Curtains, which made a brief appearance on the chart shortly after opening, returns in the number eight spot.

TOP 10 CONCERT EVENTS

Event This Week Last Week Kenny Chesney 1 2 Jimmy Buffett 2 8 The Police 3 3 Tool 4 5 Josh Groban 5 1 Gwen Stefani 6 7 Céline Dion 7 10 Soul2Soul: Tim McGraw & Faith Hill 8 6 Rush 9 9 Dave Matthews Band 10 4

Chesney is king this week on the Top Concerts chart. He reclaims the number one spot from Josh Groban, who drops to number five.

Jimmy Buffett and Dave Matthews Band move six positions each. Buffett advances in the positive direction, leaping from number eight to number two, while DMB travels in the negative direction, plummeting from the number four spot to number ten.

TOP 10 LAS VEGAS SHOWS

Event This Week Last Week Céline Dion: A New Day 1 1 Cirque Du Soleil: The Beatles: LOVE 2 3 Cirque Du Soleil: "O" 3 2 Bette Midler 4 n/a Elton John: The Red Piano 5 5 Toni Braxton: Revealed 6 10 Fab Four 7 6 Stripper 101 8 n/a Blue Man Group 9 7 Cirque Du Soleil: KÀ 10 n/a

Stripper 101 lands itself on the Top Vegas chart for the first time, claiming the number eight spot. The novel show, which teaches adventurous tourists and locals the moves that made Las Vegas strippers famous, has been growing steadily since its opening in June 2006.

Céline Dion, number one in the Vegas rankings since the chart’s introduction fourteen weeks ago, will leave Bette Midler with big shoes to fill. The Divine Miss M is off to a decent start, however. Although she does not take the stage in Céline’s place until 2008, she debuts in the Top Vegas rankings at number four.
