Wicked is back on top this week, heading up the Overall Top Events chart. The Boston Red Sox descend to a place they’re not terribly familiar with this season, number two.

The New York Yankees, proving they’re a team that knows how to rally, climb from the number ten spot to number four. The Yanks are on a six game winning streak, but the rebound in sales is likely due to an upcoming interleague series against the Mets. At Yankee Stadium. With Roger Clemens.

American Idols Live! is lost without Simon’s snarky, dream-crushing commentary. Three weeks after its debut, the tour slips off the chart . . .

With the next three games of the NBA Finals scheduled to be played in Cleveland, the Spurs drop out of the Overall Top Events rankings and slide to number six in the Top Sports rankings. The Cavaliers move up one spot on the Overall Top Events chart and remains at number three on the Sports chart. In addition to home team advantage, ticket sales for the Cavs, who are trailing the Spurs 0-2, may be bolstered by the fact that everyone loves an underdog. And LeBron James.

The Anaheim Ducks put the NHL back on the Top Sports chart in the number seven spot, a feat second only to their winning of the Stanley Cup. The Ducks took the series in five games, claiming victory Wednesday night at the Honda Center and becoming the first team on the West Coast to bring home the Stanley Cup. Sure, the Canadians may have invented hockey, but when you pit the Senators against a team born out of the magic of Disney and cheered on by the Terminator, did Ottawa really have a chance?

There are several musicals on the move on the Top Theatre chart. Monty Python’s Spamalot overtakes Lion King and claims the number four spot. Grease moves up three positions, from number nine to number six, despite the fact that the show isn’t even in previews yet. Phantom of the Opera is Broadway’s longest running musical, yet it still has the draw to earn it the number eight spot in the rankings.

Phantom is also the big mover on the Top New York City Theatre chart. It advances three places to number seven. Beauty & The Beast fills its former spot at number ten. Legally Blonde drops one spot in the rankings, from number five to number six, a blow coupled with being passed over for a Tony Award like a prom queen nominee who didn’t get to wear the crown.

A number of changes occur in the Top Concerts rankings. The remix looks something like this: The Police and Kenny Chesney remain one and two, Michael Bublé returns to the chart at number three, Jimmy Buffett leaps from ten to four, Dave Matthews Band inches up one spot to number five, John Mayer drops two to take number six, Céline Dion is back at number seven, Keith Urban claims number eight, Soul2Soul loses four spots to settle at nine, and American Idols Live! barely makes the cut at number ten.

Sir Elton John can’t hold a candle to Sir Robin, Sir Lancelot, and Sir Galahad this week. After eighteen weeks in the top five Las Vegas Shows, The Red Piano drops to number nine. Spamalot, however, rises to number four.
