Ticket Sellers Rankings Roundup 5/17/07
By Stacey Willets

TicketNews.com releases its exclusive weekly Top Ten Primary and Secondary Live Event Ticket Sellers Rankings for the week ending 5/15/07 this morning. Here is a quick taste of where the websites stand.

On the Top Primary Sellers chart we see a repeat of all last week’s players with a slight shuffle in the bottom half of the rankings. With Ticketmaster still far and away the leader in primary ticket sales, there is little rabble-rousing in the rankings below.

All the action appears to be in the secondary market this week. TicketsNow makes a monumental move – downwards. TicketLiquidator.com, with its gains in popularity and market share, takes a significant step upwards to seize the number two ranking. The website’s efforts to provide unique service offerings and great customer experience are fueling its growth and making it a major contender among the secondary market giants.

If you thought last week’s Overall Ticket Sellers rankings were an anomaly, this week’s chart is a must-see. For the first time ever, there is a tie between two sellers. Live Nation and TicketsNow both lay claim to the number five spot, showing that perhaps primary and secondary sellers can share nicely in this industry.
