Live Nation to Run New 19,000-Seat Minnesota Amphitheatre
Live Nation will run a new state-of-the-art amphitheater in Shakopee, Minnesota next year, which will host over 30 events each summer.
The yet-to-be-named venue will offer “breathtaking 360-degree views of the Minnesota River Valley,” as well as “expansive hangout spaces both indoors and outside” and “full season packages in luxury suites and boxes.” According to Live Nation’s president of venues Jordan Zachary, the amphitheater will fill “a big gap in the local venue landscape.” It will also create 700 permanent jobs.

This marks the second venue Live Nation’s operates in Minnesota, following the Fillmore Minneapolis, which opened in 2020.
This is the latest news for the entertainment giant; this week, Live Nation revealed approved to enter a 25-year contract with Kent County, Michigan’s Acrisure Amphitheater. Earlier this year, Live Nation acquired The Paramount, a 1,555-capacity venue in downtown Huntington, New York, as well as a new, seasonal, open-air concert venue — heading to Toronto, Ontario in 2025.
Currently, Live Nation is the target of an antitrust lawsuit alongside its ticketing subsidiary Ticketmaster. The suit aims to break-up the pair, citing anticompetitive and monopolistic business practices.
