Slayer formed in 1981 by guitarists Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King. Their 1986 release of “Reign in Blood” was considered “the heaviest album of all time” by Kerrang! Magazine, ranked sixth greatest metal band of all time by MTV, as well as voted for “Best Guitarist/Guitar Team” in Revolver’s reader poll. They have released nine studio albums, four which have received gold certification in the USA.

Slayer received three Grammy nominations, winning two; one in 2007 for the song “Eyes of the Insane” and in 2008 for the song “Final Six”. Slayer is going on tour this fall with Megadeth to relaunch their Canadian Carnage Tour from November 8 through November 13.
