The New York Giants were formed in 1925 when owner Tim Mara founded the team with only a $500 investment. While the team has had a turbulent financial history, their football success has been unquestioned. The team has won seven league championships, four NFL Championships prior to the Super Bowl era and three Super Bowls the latest coming in 2007.

Since 1976, the Giants have played in Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ, but in 2007, the team broke ground on a new state-of-the-art stadium located right next door. The stadium was built as a 50/50 partnership with co-inhabitant New York Jets, who have shared Giants Stadium since 1984. Controversy has surrounded the new Personal Seat Policy that the Giants have put into place, as many fans have complained that they can no longer afford season tickets.
