Jonas Brothers tour rearranges summer concert schedule, adds international dates
During a summer season fraught with cancelled tours and postponed concerts, even the Jonas Brothers' latest North American outing has not proved impervious. The sibling trio announced a series of heavy revisions to their upcoming Live in Concert Tour.
The modified 27-city schedule for the United States and Canada will launch about two weeks later than originally planned -- August 7 at First Midwest bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, IL. The tour's closing night also has been moved up from October to the new end-date of September 19 at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, CA.
Almost 20 concerts have been cut from Jonas Brothers' original summer itinerary, and stops in some of the remaining North American tour markets have been rearranged to better fit the new routing. The summer tour will still feature support from label mate Demi Lovato, as well as appearances by several co-stars from Disney's popular "Camp Rock" movie franchise.
In addition to these changes, a few lucky markets will now host multiple performances of the Live in Concert Tour. Runs are planned for August 16-17 at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ; August 21-22 at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, NY; and September 2-3 at Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto, ON.
Despite drastically cutting their U.S. and Canadian calendar, the sibling trio will push further into international territory. A Latin American tour leg has been added for the fall, beginning October 21 in Monterrey, Mexico, and wrapping November 9 in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
The group's international routing will also include a foray into Europe during November and December, with stops plotted in the UK, Spain, France and Italy, among other regions across the continent. Exact dates and locations for late 2010 have not yet been announced.
"Every year we have been able to visit new cities and fans, and this year is no different. As you may have heard there are some changes that have been made to the routing of the tour that now includes European and Central and South American dates," the trio said in a statement on the Web site of their official fan club, Team Jonas.
"As part of our effort to bring the best concert experience to you, we've had to reorganize some of the North American tour dates," the fan club statement continued. "If we're missing your city, please know that we love you and we will be back soon."
The first ticket sales for the Live in Concert Tour began in May. Tickets for rescheduled shows will be honored on the new concert dates, and refunds will be issued from the original point of purchase for all cancelled dates.
A few new public onsales begin July 10 for concerts on August 17 in Holmdel, NJ; August 22 in Wantagh, NY; and September 3 in Toronto, ON. A limited number of $10 general admission lawn passes will be available for the two U.S. concerts, while all three dates will have reserved seating options priced up to almost $100, according to Live Nation event listings.
More details about the rescheduled summer tour calendar and approaching onsales are available on the Jonas Brothers' official Web site.

Comments represent the opinions of users and do not necessarily reflect the views of TicketNews.Well I have to agree with all of you who are upset with the concert schedule changing. This is just poor planning, thoughtless and careless on Jonas Brothers behalf and VERY inconsiderate! I have a 6 year old who was looking so forward to going..We splurged and bought tickets for the WPB show that was to take place in October on a Saturday night and now it has been moved to a Tuesday night (school night.. HELLO!!!). Who wants to have their children out till almost midnight at a concert??? this is the most ridiculous thing and I will NEVER EVER purchase tickets to Jonas again.. very disappointed!! Shame on you Jonas and your affiliates. Way to not think of your youngest fans..
My niece came to Dallas to attend the Jonas Bros concert. We were so excited and we even sprung for the VIP tickets. When they changed the date, that meant my niece would be back in school and unable to attend and my daughter, who also had a ticket, would also be back in school outside of Texas so she couldn't attend either. We have seen the J. Bros for the past three years in Dallas. This is supposedly their home, but we don't see them around here much anymore. This is extremely disappointing and I have to agree with previous comments....I am not sure I will risk buying tickets to any upcoming concerts for the J.Bros. because of this. The reason for changing the date and canceling some cities completely is weak.
From Canada they are going to Florida...Wisconsin is on the way, why did they have to cancel?
well im happy they just moved up the date here in san diego so i still get to go, but i feel bad of the people that dont get to see them. Im more of a demi lovato fan which is my reason for going so if they cancelled i would be crushed but at least its more jonas brothers concert than demi. For those who dont get to see them, you should write to live nation and explain that this is not right and demand they come again, im sure they dont mind making more money!
My daughter is at the age where she may or may not be interested in the JoBros if they make it back our direction. What I do know is that she was extremely excited about seeing this show that included Demi Lovato and the Camp Rock crew. I think it stinks that they cancelled shows here in the USA to go to other parts of the world after the tickets were sold and the kids were all excited about going. Why not just keep their commitment to those of us who purchased tickets? I'm not sure who's decision it was, but, in my opinion, it was a bad one. I can promise you that we will not buy tickets to future shows and risk being disappointed a second time.
Why cancel ALL those dates? Why not do a European Tour next year? How many disappointed kids does it take for you to realize this is just WRONG!!! You diss American kids and go overseas instead. End of story, end of popularity hopefully...
They cancelled like lots of other ARTISTS because of tickets sales. So lots of people have been dissapointed it happens! They did,nt diss American kids they love there fans. They did add concerts to the USA tour, so ckeck you facts! they will always have a strong fan base, sorry to tell you!
They didn't cancel b/c of ticket sales did they? According to this article it appears they cancelled to free up their schedules to do other things (that they feel are more worthy?). They may have added some shows to the US tour, but not as many as they cancelled. And if I live in one of the places they cancelled (and I do) why do I care if they added another show in a place that I cannot possibly attend. I am sorry, but it is disappointing, regardless of the "facts"!
Please don't blame JB,blame Live Nation they were the ones who cancelled those 19 shows not JB
that pretty much says it all.
I guess your daughters were never real fans, mine would never stop liking them for that reason, i would,nt want them to, lots of tours have been cancelled or changed. It is upsetting if they don,t come to your area, they will come back, to stop liking them because of this is a bit extreme!
Hey, this makes me happy. They are way over priced. My daughters where such big fans. One of them was so upset she tore all her posters down and dumped them in the trash. (she had the walls and ceiling covered with them, one count was over 200 posters). I was sick of paying those high prices. They are upset but, no more concerts. yeah for me!!!
Well I'm disappointed to tell you the truth but I will never stop being a big fan of them they are humans it's not like you never cancelled an appointment , skipped school or something else to do another thing the only difference is that if they cancel something everybody gets informed even though my parents had to drive me today to see their concert I still liked the fact that they postpond instead of canceled because at least I'm going to see them on September even if I have to miss school
